Tori-soba (chicken noodles) is the favorite dish of Edo Wonderland Nikko Edomura residents, from samurai to children. Even ninjas are lured out into the open by the delicious smell of chicken broth. To create this soup, whole chickens are simmered in boiling spring water for eight hours. This dish is sure to warm you from the inside.

The storekeeper's own proud selection of Japanese sake, shochu, and ume-shu (plum wine) is outstanding. Parting the noren curtain, from midday onwards you will see many wine-loving ronin (masterless samurai) happily drinking together.
The mizore-cha soba is the house specialty. These chilled tea-flavored soba noodles topped with chicken and grated daikon radish make the perfect refreshing Edo dish.

We have to recommend the beef rice bowl here: fluffy white rice topped just before serving with beef simmered in special sauce.
The hearty portions are sure to satisfy all the little children running around Edo town.
In addition to this, motsu-nabe stew, kushi-yaki skewers, and all kinds of appetizers are sure to satisfy Mom and Dad too!

The local Edo residents, known for their gourmet palates, love these famous kaki-age soba noodles. The hard-working townsfolk devour these noodles with a passion; they are effectively the fast food of Edo. The crisp fried kaki-age topping is fragrant, imparting a sense of extravagance to the dish.
